Supported by IC İçtaş Construction, İbrahim Çeçen Foundation has introduced the book "Timeless Flavors on the Peninsula Journey", which includes the rich cultural heritage and gastronomic values of Çeşme Peninsula, to its readers. The book, which is a tribute to the civilizations that have created the culture of the region from ancient times to the present day, consists of four separate sections: the historical roots of the food culture on the Çeşme Peninsula, the basic characteristics of the regional cuisine, its biological diversity and the flavors born from the region.
In "Timeless Flavors on the Peninsula Journey", the effects of geography, sociology, migration and faith, which are "indispensable" elements in the formation of the culinary culture, are covered in detail. Many unique flavors such as herbs, soups, olive oil dishes, appetizers and desserts specific to the region and the civilizations that created these flavors are described from different perspectives. Beril Ateş's special illustration summarizing the history of the region also adds a different color to the book. The proceeds from the sale of the book will be used to provide scholarships to gastronomy students by the İbrahim Çeçen Foundation, and the social responsibility activities of the İzmir Chamber of Commerce Education, Culture and Social Integration Foundation (BORSAV) regarding the continuation of gastronomy culture will be supported.
