After being the first electricity distribution business in Turkey to sign the Business Plastics Initiative (BCSD TR), which aims to minimize plastic consumption, Trakya Electricity Distribution Inc. (TREDAŞ) has made a commitment to cut its consumption of plastics by 1.8 tons by the year 2023.

In order to responsibly leave behind a planet that is livable for future generations, TREDAŞ has added a new one to its environmentally friendly activities. TREDAŞ, which became a member of the Business Plastic Initiative (BCSD TR) in 2022, determined its sectoral minimum requirements and calculated its plastic footprint after being a signatory. As a result, TREDAŞ made a commitment to IPG to reduce plastics by 1.8 tons for 2023. The works performed as a result of the commitments will be shown to the public and reported on, while it is stated that TREDAŞ aims to lower plastic waste, bring it into the economy, and contribute to human health through a number of projects.
