In line with its approach of placing sustainability at the core of its development strategy, IC Holding has shared its 2023 Sustainability Report, which compiles the environmental, social, and economic impacts of its operations.

Prepared in compliance with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards and independently audited for both environmental and social data, the report highlights good practices, future plans, initiatives, and strategies related to sustainability across IC Holding’s 12 group companies and 2 projects operating in construction, energy, tourism, infrastructure, industry, and real estate. Reflecting the success achieved domestically and internationally since its establishment in 1969, the report clearly outlines the Group's commitments and goals for the future, built on decades of expertise and determination.

Can Çaka, CEO of IC Holding: “We will strengthen our commitment to sustainability.”

Commenting on the 2023 Sustainability Report, IC Holding CEO Can Çaka stated:

“As IC Holding, we conduct our business and relationships with a profound sense of responsibility to create a positive impact on society and the environment. We take responsibility in areas requiring development both in Türkiye and globally, contributing wherever needed. By supporting progress in every field we operate in, we aim to leave a more livable world for future generations.

This is why we have published our second sustainability report under the theme ‘The Impact of Development.’ In our first report, we shared our short-, medium-, and long-term goals for 2030. This report showcases the progress we’ve made on our sustainability journey and the new projects we’ve added to it.

We aim to build a better future by collaborating with all our stakeholders, from suppliers to customers. To achieve this, we are determined to further embed sustainability into our corporate culture. Through these efforts, we aim not only to reduce our environmental impact but also to ensure long-term success.”

Roadmaps for Reducing Carbon Emissions Are Being Developed

Prioritizing the fight against the climate crisis and transitioning to a low-carbon economy, IC Holding has initiated projects to develop low-carbon roadmaps for all its group companies. Efforts are underway in areas such as energy audits, transitioning vehicles to electric/hybrid models, and procuring electricity from renewable sources.

Based on its comprehensive assessments, IC Holding aims to reduce carbon emissions by 27% by 2030, using 2022 as the base year.

The Group will continue to focus on its four key sustainable development goals—Gender Equality, Decent Work and Economic Growth, Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, and Climate Action—by producing new projects and supporting activities that promote the circular economy through 2025.
